In recent decades humanity has gained increasing scientific awareness of our dependency on the Earth and the damage we have inflicted on our home planet. Simultaneously, we are reexamining the teachings of the world’s religions and discovering within them ancient recommendations to care for the created world. As we endeavor to address environmental problems and balance our religious and spiritual understandings with scientific realities, how can we most wisely interact with the natural world?
