Guest Speaker: Betsy Chapman
Harpist and Holistic Therapist Betsy Chapman will speak about working with her harp in therapeutic settings. She will also provide music for us today! Betsy has played for some of the labyrinth walks here at UUFP.
Find Your Creative Self
Guest Speaker: Diane Trieb
Inspirational Coach Diane Trieb will share her enthusiasm and insights for developing and releasing creative energies. Members of the Thomas Paine UUF of Collegeville will join us and share in our potluck meal afterwards.

Helen Keller, Social Activist

Although Ms. Keller’s image is on the Alabama State quarter, politicians of her time wanted her to be known as someone who overcame handicaps, NOT as a spearhead of social change. She was a champion of the common people in spite of growing up in privilege.
Battle of Gettysburg

Ron Devlin, human interest reporter for the Reading Eagle, will celebrate his feature series about the Battle of Gettysburg which is in the process of becoming a book! Ron is also celebrating over 40 years as a news journalist. Welcome him back today!
The Bunny in the Garden

The other night, I had a dream that a neighbor was running into my garden, grabbing my basil and parsley and running away again. My dream self reacted by teaching my neighbor which plants already growing in her own garden were good to eat. She didn’t need my harvest, she had her own. I woke up in the morning and saw a bunny in my yard. My awake self was much less charitable toward the bunny.
Why is it that sometimes we are able to react with understanding, while other times we cannot find it within ourselves to forgive?
Reflecting on Government

This is an experiment of sorts. In earlier days the UUFP would, at times, dialogue on certain topics rather than have someone preach on them. Some have suggested it would be nice to revisit that very UU tradition. In honor of Independence Day, I will introduce for discussion the topic: Government: Does it solve problems or is it, as Ronald Reagan suggested, the problem?
Bless Our Fathers – All of Them
