Our gardens are off to a very promising start this spring! We have snap peas, potatoes, kale, mustard greens and green beans coming up. Our garlic is looking healthy and should be ready for harvesting in July. As of this writing, we are preparing to transplant eight tomato plants (raised from seeds by new member Sara W.) and red, purple, and yellow bell peppers, which were purchased from a nearby organic farm.
Our produce is donated once a week to the Pottstown Cluster.
If you are interested in helping out in our organic garden, please speak to Kay P. Once we begin to harvest, more help will definitely be appreciated!
Thank you from the UUFP Garden Committee.
