We Are All the Stranger ~ Speaker: Emily Quarles-Mowrer

I wasn’t particularly raised with the Bible, but some quotes echo in my head. For example, Hebrews 3:2 says, “Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.” The things we hear in the news about the ways that people who are different are being treated make me think about that verse and about the poem by German Lutheran pastor Martin Niemöller, “First They Came.” Join us as we consider justice and our interdependent community.
