A Place For Everything              Speaker: Emily Quarles-Mowrer

When I was a kid, at the start of summer I would give up my cartoons on Saturday mornings to go out “garage sale-ing” with my mom. We often found treasures amongst other people’s trash. I remember thinking, “Who would get rid of a perfectly good [blank]?” You can fill in the blank with anything that a child would want to buy for a quarter. Reading Marie Kondo’s book “The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up” reminds me yet again of the often fraught relationship we have with our things.
